Young Company Reopens in Laguna Beach

Laguna Beach, Calif. – January 1, 2006

Young Company Reopens in Laguna Beach - January 1, 2006

Bart Young reopened Young Company as an independent advertising, public relations and Internet marketing agency. Bart’s decision to return to running his own independent agency was based on a desire to more intently serve a select group of key clients with a level involvement that takes full advantage of his experience and hands-on style with a single dedicated team of professionals.

The agency opened with seven employees and clients IBM Tivoli, Seiko Instruments, Parco High Performance Seals, Toyo Tires, MWS Wire Industries and Walter’s Automotive Group of Riverside.

In October of 2003, Bart merged Young Company into The Phelps Group where he served as Executive Vice President. Phelps is a mid-sized LA-based independent agency that has been nationally recognized as a leader in integrated marketing communications. For two and a half years Phelps operated Young’s Laguna office as its Orange County branch.

Lisa Farmer, who was with Young Company prior to The Phelps Group merger, has returned as VP Media Services. Lisa is known for her research skills, focus on accountability and savvy negotiation skills. Debra Hope, who served as accounting manager at Young Company in 2003, has taken over financial duties once again. Determined to harvest the vast talent pool resident in Orange County, Young was successful in recruiting Tom Roberts, Kathleen Jaucian and George Pappas prior to opening in January to provide seamless continuity of service to clients departing from Phelps.
