Three Methods to Harness LinkedIn to Boost your Content

For the majority of businesses, creating solid content can be compared to building the rocket that will launch their business into stardom. However, no rocket has ever left the ground without a solid platform from which to launch. Creating a piece of quality content is crucial, yes, but promoting and distributing that content to the right audiences can be an even bigger challenge. Below I have outlined three tips marketers can use to boost their content’s quality and target and reach their chosen audience through LinkedIn.

1. Don’t Underestimate the Power of Personal
Many business owners direct a large amount of their marketing energies toward their business profile, and rightly so. However, reaching out through your personal profile has benefits as well. Through your personal profile, you’re connected to your established network, which is likely to boost your content’s reception. Readers will see your content and recognize your name, granting your post instant credibility. Also, personal profiles accommodate long-form content, whereas content shared on business pages must be confined to 60 seconds or less.

2. Work the Niche Factor-
Arguably, some of LinkedIn’s most valuable features are their group communities. Specific interests from sales and marketing to a Jane Austen fan club can be found and reached through these specific communities, most of which are very easy to gain access to. Finding and connecting with relevant interest groups on LinkedIn can grant you instant access to populations who are most likely interested in your content and therefore, are more likely to receive it well.

3. Publish via Pulse
One of LinkedIn’s more recent additions is their Pulse application. Similar to Twitter, it allows the user to tailor their newsfeeds and keeps them up-to-date on their chosen topics, companies or industries. Publishing through this web tool will deliver your content to an audience larger than an interest group but will still have the efficiency of reaching those who were already looking for it.
