And that’s where WE come in!

We’ve identified 5 areas that can instantly increase your conversions for paid advertising channels! No matter what industry, the same principles are at work!

1. Do You Know Where Your Keywords Are?

Your keywords should be sprinkled throughout your website. It is important to place keywords in your H1 tag, Header, etc. The more places the keywords the better chance of your site being higher on search results. Make sure you take the time to carefully optimize EACH page on your site, including the ABOUT page, which typically gains a lot of extra views.

2. Check Google Analytics Every Single Day!

It is important to be constantly checking your keyword conversion. If you aren’t seeing results you’d like, you’ll want to adjust your keywords to better optimize your site. But! Don’t be trigger happy. Results will ebb and flow for most keywords, so base your changes off of at least 4 days of data.

3. Location is EVERYTHING.

Make sure you know where you want your ad to appear! Geographic location is important because you want to make sure you are able to target the right audience.

For example…if you are selling shoes for British women, sending views/clicks from Puerto Rico probably won’t turn into very many conversions. Instead, target based around a geo-radius of 10 miles, allowing your direct consumers to see your ads more frequently.

4. Don’t Forget to Be Negative!

Adding negative keywords will help reach your target market. How? Because you are excluding views/websites that are irrelevant to your business or campaign. So, if you are selling athletic gear that is off-brand, you might add “Nike Athletic Gear” to your negative keywords, as those consumers are search for specifically NIKE gear…and probably aren’t interested in off-brand attire.

5. Variety is the Spice of Life.

Little differences between keywords can make a large difference in search engines finding your site. Start with a list of 10-20 keywords per campaign/landing page. After 2-3 days, make some notations about how they are performing. Then, after a week, you should be able to get a really clear picture of what is performing, and what isn’t.

And most importantly: ALWAYS BE ADJUSTING!

Most Adwords campaigns need to be adjusted every day, or at least monitored in that way.
