Happy New Year of the Pig! – January 2019

Changing Tides – January 2019

OK, it's officially past January 1. But if you are looking for some good news in the new year, this might make you smile. The pig is the designated 2019 zodiac animal to be celebrated during the Chinese New Year February 5. That’s right! Not the snake, rat or rooster. The pig in Chinese culture is a symbol of wealth and prosperity. Their chubby faces and big ears are signs of fortune as well.

Pigs have a beautiful personality (with a few exceptions) and are blessed with good fortune in life.

The pig is the twelfth of all zodiac animals. According to one myth, the Jade Emperor said the order would be decided by the order in which they arrived at his party. Pig was late because he overslept.

So, if you find yourself oversleeping or things get a little bit messy this year, no worries, it’s to be expected in the year of the pig. You can also expect to build some lasting friendships in keeping with pig behavior, as they are social butterflies making friends from all walks of life. I hope your 2019 is filled with fun, family and fortune. How much fortune? If happiness is an important measure of fortune, just remember, it doesn’t get much better than being as happy as a pig in s-it.

So, enjoy the journey in the new year!
