Abbott Technologies Engages Young Company for Fourth Time in Three Decades

Young Company agency to provide website development, public relations and marketing communications

Abbott Technologies has engaged Young Company to assist in website development, public relations and marketing. Abbott is ready to aggressively market its line of transformers and power supplies to the aerospace and defense industries in 2011 and the future.

Abbott Technologies is a leading source for military power supplies and transformers with a long standing reputation for reliability, technology innovation and service. Abbott’s main market focus is in aerospace, defense and transportation. Their products have successfully performed where high levels of dependability and performance are required. Abbott’s customers include departments of the U.S. Government, armed forces, major prime, and subcontractors.

This is unique multi-generational relationship dating back to 1980 when John Batte, founder and chairman of Abbott Transistor Labs hired Doug Young of Speer, Young & Hollander (Los Angeles) to handle advertising and public relations. Over three decades the client and agency have worked together under several management teams as a result of both Abbott and Speer, Young & Hollander being acquired and then becoming independent again. Today, Abbott Technologies is managed by Kerima Batte and SYH is now known as Young Company, owned and operated by (son of Doug Young) Bart Young.
