5 Ads We Love About Love!

5 Ads We Love About Love! - YoungCompany.com - Digital Marketing, Web Design, PPC Management
Sticking to the theme of LOVE for this month and in honor of the recent passing of Valentine ’s Day this year, we have compiled a group of ads, all about LOVE, that we LOVE, and hope you will LOVE them to. Ok, if we say LOVE one more time we might get flagged for keyword stuffing, so here you go:

1. In 1953, this classically vintage advertisement for Whitman’s Chocolates features Elizabeth Taylor. The ad is quite sassy, reminding your man to remember Valentine’s Day and get your girl exactly what she is hoping for, Whitman’s Chocolate! Signing off at the bottom. “A woman never forgets the man who remembers.”

2.  In 2009, Apple sent this ad via email promoting Valentine’s Day giving. The tagline read: “The ultimate love note. Give an engraved iPod nano this Valentine’s Day.” The ad was clean, clever and relevant at the time. We especially love the added touch of having the artist “Pink” on the iPod screen. Nice touch.

3. Last year, McDonalds released a lovely ad campaign called “delivering what you love” that focused on fictional characters. McDonald’s “I’m Lovin’ It” slogan was taken a step further with the McDonald’s Delivery ad campaign that concentrated on fictional characters to drive home the fact that it “delivers what you love”. Fictional characters included in the campaign were Oz’s Tin Man, Cinderella and Maggie Simpson, just to name a few. The campaign was meant to appeal to families who don’t have much time on their hands to prepare food for themselves. Check it out.

4. Last month, these posters were put up in Toronto District School Board schools, which include 76,000 middle school and high school students. Launched by LGBTQ advocacy group Toronto Pflag, the posters depict a rainbow that spells out the LGBTQ acronym: Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Straight, Queer and 2-Spirited. When students use the flash on their camera phones to take a picture of the poster, the words are suddenly accompanied by nouns that illustrate LGBTQ folks are people they know, respect and love.

5. This year, Canadian Doritos fans got exactly what they were looking for this Valentine’s Day—a bouquet of ketchup-flavored Doritos roses. Aimed at women who were stumped with what to get their men for the holiday, Doritos suggests to give him something you know he already loves, Doritos Ketchup. The “roses” for sale sold out within hours, but customers can visit a website which has instructions to make their own versions of the bouquet.
