Samsung Electronics Selects Young Company to Guide Office Automation Division Campaign - February 23, 2000

Samsung Electronics’ Office Automation Division of Rancho Dominguez has selected business-to-business marketing agency, Young Company, to help promote its full line of digital laser printers and MFPs (multi-functional products), combining fax, printer, copier, and other features in one machine. The account win consists of a budget of $2-3 million for the United States alone.

“Young Company will help guide our programs targeted to office dealers and value-added resellers,” says Division General Manager, Harry Otto, “as well as consumer campaigns supporting our retail channels. We hired Young Company because we want to leverage its knowledge of the market and its strong creative reputation.”

Samsung Electronics is a global manufacturer and marketer with a strong reputation for supplying products to the OEM market, where they are sold under the NEC, Xerox, and Lemark brand names. Young Company is committed to helping Samsung Electronics build a brand of its own for their office automation products.

Headquartered in Seoul, Korea Samsung specializes in electronic, mechanical, and chemical manufacturing. Samsung operates 29 core companies in Korea and 305 international facilities in 65 different countries. The company is the leading producer of microwave ovens and the largest manufacturer of CRT’s in the world. In 1997 the company had net sales of $72 billion.
