E-Marketing Expert to Address Driving More Traffic to Your Website - December 27, 1999

Members Can Bring First Guest Free at Special January Meeting

With over 3,000,000 commercial web sites on the Internet, and the latest Goldman Sachs report predicting $1.3 trillion in business-to-business web site expenditures between now and 2003, Southern California business marketers are concerned not only with those strategies and techniques that increase traffic to their site, but also the number of repeat visits to that site.

“That’s because 70% of Internet users say visiting a site regularly influences their decision to ‘buy or fly,’” says January Business Marketing Association speaker Rick Jorgenson, eMarketing Director for Young Company based in Santa Monica, California. “I’ll be covering those aspects of eMarketing that address directing site traffic, developing a prospect database, and creating an ongoing relationship with visitors that ultimately increases the odds they’ll buy from you, not from a competitor.”

This Southern California Business Marketing Association BMA-SoCal dinner meeting will take place on Thursday, January 13th, at the Irvine Marriott. Registration and networking begin at 5:30 p.m. As a special thank you to its chapter members, BMA-SoCal launches their Year 2000 program by permitting each member who pays the regular cost of $35 to bring a guest free. In addition, each additional guest can attend at the member rate of $35, a $10 savings.

With 17 years in sales and marketing management positions, speaker Jorgenson’s responsibilities for Young Company, a leading Southern California business-to-business high-tech agency, includes development, planning and execution of eMarketing strategies for web site optimization, email advertising, opt-in email campaigns, web promotions, and web lead development and tracking.

In addition to Mr. Jorgenson’s keynote address, Mr. Rick Kean, Executive Director for BMA International, will make a brief presentation to members and guests on branding in the new millenium.
