Corky Carroll’s Surf School has made a business of teaching young and old the exciting sport of surfing for 21 years! Their Surf School and Summer Surf Camp programs draw eager beginning from a wide radius of communities surrounding Huntington Beach.
Everybody’s surfing now, everybody’s learning how,” thanks to the Beach Boys and Corky’s Surf School.
If you’ve never experienced “the stoke” that comes from surfing a wave, it is never too late to learn. For adults and children, both beginners and experienced surfers, they also operate a surf school in Nosara, Costa Rica which provides a wonderful active, adventure experience for the entire family.
About Corky Carroll and Corky Carroll Surf School
Corky Carroll started his career in 1959 at a very early age and by the time he retired in 1972, he was only 24 years old. From 1966-1970 he dominated the United States Surfing Championship and also won the International Surfing Championship three times. Altogether, Carroll won over 100 surfing competitions. Still active as a surfer, Corky is one of the most prolific voices in the surf industry writing a column for the OC Register and providing color commentary at many of the world’s most famous surfing events. Corky is also a talented musician and lives in San Clemente when he’s not on a surfing safari. The school is now entirely owned and operated by Keith Coleman and his wife Kelsey whose father founded the school with Corky in 1995.
