5 Super Bowl Ads We Love!

Superbowl Ads Blog Header

The Superbowl is this weekend! Yay!

Which means it’s THAT time of the year to reflect on our TOP 5 Superbowl Commercials of all time:

Chrysler Eminem Commercial – Imported from Detroit (2011)

Unlike most automotive commercials, Chrysler’s commercial is a far cry from anything humorous or action-packed. Presenting a gritty, struggling Detroit in 2011, Chrysler successfully conveys a message of hope that the once proud automotive manufacturing city can rebuild itself into the Motor city it once was. From the perfect casting of Eminem as the face of Detroit, the reimagined “Lose Yourself”, to the “Imported from Detroit” slogan, Wieden + Kennedy along with Chrysler made a relevant commercial that gives us goosebumps with every play.

Budweiser “Best Buds” Commercial (2014)

When cat videos reign supreme on the internet, it’s nice to see the puppies get some love. It’s sad to see Budweiser end the campaign (Budweiser isn’t airing a dog-themed commercial this year since sales haven’t improved), but we’re looking forward to seeing what they come up with next.

Volkswagen “Star Wars” Commerical (2011)

A tiny Darth Vader running around trying to use the force? I’m pretty sure Volkswagen based this commercial on my childhood. A spot that can appeal to everyone’s inner Star Wars fan, this spot perfectly marries cute with nostalgia.

Budweiser “WHASSSSSSSSUUUUUUUUP” Commercial (1999)

WHASSSSSSSUUUUUUP. ‘nuff said.

Apple’s “1984” Commercial

It’s universally loved and often appears in most people’s list of best commercials of all time. The spot has a special place in our hearts here at Young Company since it was written by former Young Company Creative Director Steve Hayden.
